Hi, I’m Maritza! I’m a wife to a tremendously patient husband, and mother to three wonderful little blessings that inspire me to live my life with purpose. In September of 2012, I began the journey of home educating my little ones. When I decided to do so, it felt like an epiphany- “a sudden realization that our lives would be different from then on”. To say it better, every day we experience an epiphany. We have faced some challenges, but the joys out number them. Never in my life would I have imagined that I would embrace such a journey with so much love and passion.
With this new life change, other learning opportunities and life challenges have occurred as well. One of them has been returning to work full time. After a year, and through trial and error, I have managed to successfully home educate my children while holding a full time job. With this new challenge, the desired to help other women that are in the same position as mine have risen spontaneously. Many of my posts will be geared toward that busy working, homeschooling mom.
My goal is to make of this blog, not just a journal of our home education , but a wellspring of resources ranging from motivation to actual practical and simple educational resources for fellow busy working homeschoolers to learn about.
This is our journey, our continual “epiphanies”, and with the help of God, a never ending adventure in our quest to the eternal life with our Lord Almighty.
As a mother and main educator of my children, I have an enormous responsibility and a duty to God, to do my best to raise well-rounded Christian children, who will love God, and who will get Him known.
In the process of educating my children, I have been blessed with so much new learning. One never stops learning and the opportunities to do so are endless. I encourage you to seek wisdom in every corner, to grow your knowledge in all aspects of education and primarily in your spiritual life.
“Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.” Mathew 18: 2-5
