This month we are studying the nativity story. We have done several activities in conjunction with our Christmas Unit Study, so this month is a very educational and spiritual rich one, because it includes plenty of messages of love and gift from our Lord and it includes academical learning all around the focus of Jesus birth.
I made a little adaptation to the story by using pictures from Cassie @ 3Dinosaurs.com
We know that the Wise Men actually appeared later in the life of Jesus, not when he was born, but we still added them to the picture : ). Estefania likes to recreate the story herself by taking them off and re-taping them back to the dry-erase board.
One of the crafts we made was a very simple star, representing the one that signaled the location of Jesus’ birth.
Estefania wanted to place it on her mini Christmas tree, since it was lacking one.
We also did an Angel paper craft by tracing her hands, that after cutting the pattern, were used as the wings:
