There is a great number of work at home homeschooling moms, but I’ve recently noticed a growing community of homeschooling moms that work outside home, myself included. It is comforting to find fellow moms that are very familiar with the struggle of making sure the house and the family are taken care of prior to going off to work. It is hectic and stressful, since one is rushing and making sure to arrive on time to work as well.
Homeschooling is a lifestyle that requires planning and dedication. When you add a part-time or even a full-time job from both parents (in some cases single parents), it requires quite some organizational skills. Even though those skills are better “engraved” in some people, the ones that sort of lack it can still implement daily tasks that form good habits, which in return leads to becoming a better planner and/or organized individual.
The next five days, I’ll be tackling 5 of the main time management concerns I hear from my Facebook Community. I’ll be sharing how I’m managing those in my homeschooling lifestyle, and will also be sharing the clear struggles I face daily. It is my prayer that it helps in one way or another, the fellow busy working, homeschooling moms, and to those working moms that are considering homeschooling as their educational option.
The following are the 5 time management concerns that I’ll be discussing:
Day 1: Schedules, Routines, and Extracurricular Activities
Day 2: Balancing the “Other Home Stuff”
Day 3: Managing Relationships
Day 4: Managing Personal Downtime
Day 5: Time Management Tools
“We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us” (Phil. 4:13), but we can’t do them all at once.

Oh, man, I needed to read this. Mostly to know I am not alone in the chaos of homeschooling and working at the same time. Thank you so much for these great tips!

Hi Robin! It is nice to have a support group and to get reminded that it will never be perfect, we can always strive to get better, perfection is a word that just applies to God, and thankfully, He gives us so much grace. Thank you for stopping by! 😀
