Many days I have gotten up in the morning, and some how I have felt like there isn’t anything to do or too much to do (obviously the first one is momentary amnesia and the latter one, the reality of life). I have realized that those are moments of discouragement or stressfulness. The moment I decide to tell God, that everything I have to do and everything in my life is in His hands, and I let go, a true calmness fills my heart. Then I just decide to do as best as I can to fulfill the activities of the day, in a happy and content mood.
We read in Colossians 3:23,24 that “Whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ”. A wonderful scripture to remind me that everything I do has a purpose, and that when I commit with all my heart in performing each task as best as possible, I find that my day has been full and pleasurable.
