We are seven weeks into our third year of homeschooling, and I’m happy that I’ve come up with a nice routine so far with home and school. It is always a work in progress, but thanks to God I now have a better organization than the previous year, and of course, there is always room for improvement.
We have established a nice morning routine. We don’t hold true to the minute, but rather keep it flexible. We have a schedule, but it is more of a guide to know what needs to get done. I try not to over extend a subject but not cover too little either (10 minutes is better than nothing).
Having read “Plan to be Flexible”, by Alicia Kazsuk, truly helped me to shape a nice flowing routine at home, and I’m trying to stay committed to my plan and considering changes where I deem necessary. It has also aid me in staying calm and not stressing so much when changes or the unplanned occur. (To read my complete review of this book click here). Being the “type A” personality, I have come to recognize better when I’m stressing for no relevant reason and to take action. I truly enjoyed applying the tips offered in this book when planning this school year and continue to refer back to it when I need to.
I’m very grateful to Alicia Kazsuk, who offered to sponsor this giveaway that I’m excitedly presenting to my readers. You can win an eBook copy of “Plan to be Flexible”!
